From a Tigger to a Ram

Indigenous Round

This year’s Indigenous Round is alongside National Reconciliation Week. National Reconciliation Week is a time for all Australians to learn about our shared histories, cultures and achievements, and to explore how each of us can contribute to achieving reconciliation in Australia. The 2020 National Reconciliation Week theme is: “In this Together”.

After 4 years of playing with the Leichhardt Juniors RLFC  my daughter  Sienna made the bold move to the Botany Rams. It was strange seeing run around in a dark green jumper and now with an all girls side.

Botany Juniors Rugby League Football Club has been operating for over 75 years under the names of ‘Botany United’ and ‘Botany RSL’, before becoming Botany Juniors (Rams). We are a family and community club with a proud history and committed and experienced volunteers.

The gils looked very strong and committed, they broke away to a 20 point first half lead lead by Sienna Robison crossing over 3 times.

It was their first hit out together as a playing group and they did not let anyone down.

Player of the match went to Molly with 4 tries and some hard-hitting tackles.
